Born and raised in Central Atlanta, Nicole and a small group of her close friends grew weary of the long lines and informality of most chain hair salons, and the lack of variety of styles for women with natural hair. Having all graduated in the top ten percent of their respective cosmetology schools, the five women decided to band together to start a salon that was upscale, but had the familiarity and pricing of a smaller shop.
